Here’s how it works. Each BOOK is constructed of sequentially numbered sheets of paper. Each of these sheets is capable of holding thousands of pieces of information. These sheets, or “pages” are locked together with a custom fit device called a”binder” that holds the “pages” in the correct sequence. The user scans each page optically, registering information directly into their brain. A flick of the flinger takes the user to the next “page”. (No scroll bar, mouse or pressure pad.).
The BOOK maybe taken up at anytime and and used by merely opening it. You don’t have to wait for programmes to load. The “browse” feature allows the user to move instantly to any page and to move forward or backward as desired. Many BOOKs come with an “index” feature which pinpoints the exact location of any selected information for instant retrieval.
There is a built in “Share” facility where the user can transfer the information without having to use email or a memory stick. Libraries have even caught on and as well as internet access and CD’s they are now offering a good selection of BOOKs.
An App is now available which is known as a BOOKmark. This optional BOOKmark accessory allows the user to open the book at the exact place they left in in the previous session – even if the book has been closed! BOOKmarks fit universal design standards thus a single BOOKmark can be used in BOOKs by any manufacturer. No requirement for software downloads or virus protection with the BOOK!
